LOL Squad


The 2019 LOL Squad have been selected from the 2018 Class Clowns competition. e are excited to announce a new live comedy component of the 2018/2019 LOL Squad Program, Up Next, an opportunity for young comedians 16-18 to perform live at an ongoing comedy night at The Channel, Arts Centre Melbourne. Mentors for performers include Cal Wilson, Sammy J and Ivan Aristeguieta.

LOL Squad is presented by Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Arts Centre Melbourne. Participants are selected from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Class Clowns comedy competition. Participants are chosen based on their talent and passion for comedy.

Together with a range of professional mentors, LOL Squad write, act, film and edit original comedy sketches and perform live comedy shows before and during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2019 the director/mentor was comedy writer and podcaster Declan Fay.
